How to Study
- Read the synopsis of the play's scene or act from "The Essential Shakespeare"
- Skim the scene from the play searching for setting and characters
- Read the dialogue in the scene - underline words that you don't understand, but don't stop reading
- Lookup words that you misunderstood from the reading
- Write your own 1 paragraph synopsis of the scene that you just read
- Write a sentence or two below your synopsis of your opinion of this scene
