Knowing the concepts that are learned and choosing which book to use to guide us through those concepts are two very different things. We know that the goal of middle school mathematics is to truly master arithmetic in preparation for algebra. However, there are numerous middle school math texts to use. Most likely, your local public school uses something different from your local private school and each home school can house more than one such text. How do you know which book to use?
Join me for 8 weeks starting in July as I go further into answering this very question. I will share my view of one math curriculum choice each week. Some will be elementary school level programs while others focus on high school. I will share my first impressions regarding the text, layout, material, expectations, and implementation.
Join me as I explore a different math program each week starting on July 9th!
